Your way back on the road, state by state.Independent guide. We don't sell insurance. How we check rules

Lost your license or told you need an SR-22? Here’s how to get back on the road in your state.
Plain-English rules for suspensions, DUI, driving without insurance and SR-22 or FR-44 filings, checked against each state’s motor vehicle agency and statutes. What you owe, how long it lasts and the steps to drive legally again.

How we check every rule
We read the statute on the state legislature’s site and the page or form from the agency that receives the filing.
Each state page shows the date we last checked it and links to both sources.
When a rule changes, we update the page and log the change. When we can’t confirm something, we say so.
